If you haven’t yet seen it, stop everything you are doing and watch the voice cast reveal video for Mass Effect 3. Now.
Ok, now you can continue. The new video shows some familiar (and loved) faces, like Martin Sheen returning as the Illusive Man, Seth Green as Joker, Tricia Helfer as EDI, and Keith David as Anderson (man I love that guy!). Jennifer Hale, FemShep, also makes an appearance.
Two new voice actors were revealed for new characters and one may surprise you. Freddie Prinze Jr. is now part of the cast as James Vega, a new recruit and a bit of a tough guy. Yeah, you read that right. Freddie Prinze Jr! That guy who was big in 90s rom-coms and bad horror movies, also known as Sarah Michelle Gellar’s husband!
Jessica Chobot, IGN on camera host and staff writer, will be voicing Diana Allers. It’s uncertain whether Diana is a squad member of just one of the Normandy’s ranks. It is certain that choosing a random video game media symbol to voice a character is an odd choice.
What will come of these new picks, I guess we won’t really know until the game is released. Still, this video got me excited enough that we are getting little tidbits of information to hold us over until March.
